Stretto Music and the National Curriculum

During curriculum implementation we evaluate and evidence the impact and progression for your school. Stretto Music teaching develops and exceeds Ofsted requirements. We have a bespoke Whole School Progression plan and each term we deliver a comprehensive Music Assessment Report per Key Stage to the school Senior Leadership team.

“Music education is fundamentally important to our children. It teaches resilience, sparks curiosity and helps us connect with each other without words. In live performance you can’t go back and erase a mistake like you can in academic subjects, you learn to ride out anything that doesn’t quite go to plan. The resilience this teaches is so important to us all, regardless of the path we end up on. Music lifts our mood, aids concentration, inspires and uplifts. There is no right or wrong instrument to learn music on - what is important is that music is accessible to EVERYONE. It should not be a choice between music/drama/academics/sport. Now, more than ever, we need music and the arts to thrive.”
